12 days - Exploring Vietnam by tourist train - Railroad travel

Day 01: Ha Noi arrival (D)
Upon your arrival in Hanoi. Guest will be met, picked up at Noi Bai International airport by driver and Tour Guide, transfer to Hanoi, visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, former palace of Governor, one Pillar Pagoda Unique in form of lotus blossom, continue to visit : Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucius, Hoan Kiem Lake . Cyclo-ride to Hanoi old quarter with 36 streets, the heart of old Hanoi with narrow streets lined with shops. Dinner at the restaurant. Overnight at 3*** hotel in Hanoi.
Day 02: Ha Noi - Ha Long (B-L-D)
Departure for Halong, en route, visit handicrafts workshop Hong Ngoc. Arrival in Ha Long, Boarding a cruise for 5 hours in the extraordinary Halong Bay the most beautiful bay in Vietnam, the bay is dotted with more than 3,000 islands and islets of all sizes, mostly limestone mountains that arise dramatically from the sea by its natural beauty, Halong Bay is considered one of the wonders of the world. The legend is that a dragon descended to quench and finding it beautiful the place is no longer left. Its scales today rocks wooded dot the bay. Since then, It has been called "Bay of descending Dragon" (Ha Long). Lunch on board then proceeds to the Ha Long City. Dinner and overnight in 3 *** Hotel in Halong.
Day 03: Halong - Hoa Lu - Ha Noi (B-L/-)
Route to Ninh Binh to visit Hoa Lu through Thai Binh for the discovery of the Halong Bay in land. Boat trip in the mid-land rice fields, visit the caves of Tam Coc. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue to visit to ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century and temples dedicated to Kings Dinh & Le. Back in Ha Noi. After Dinner you will enjoy Water puppet show . Day 04: Hanoi - Hue (B-L/-)
Visit beautiful Museum of Ethnography, Tran Quoc Pagoda at West lake. Lunch in town. PM free for shopping. Dinner in town. 19h00 or 23h00 Boarding to air-conditioned sleeper train to Hue. Overnight on train.
Day 05: Hue (B-L-D)
Arriving in Hue in the morning. Visit the imperial city (Hoang Thanh) to the 13 feudal kingdoms Nguyen (1802-1945). Lunch at restaurant. Visit the tombs of emperors Tu Duc and Minh Mang, discovery market lively Dong Ba which offers a wide selection of local products. Royal dinner dress where you can sample local specialties. Day 06: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (B-L-D)
Cruise on the Perfume River, visit Thien Mu Pagoda (Heavenly Lady) containing several Buddha. Then route to Da Nang by the pass of the Clouds, photo stop at fishing village of Lang Co located at the foot of the Hai Van Pass. Continuing road to Hoi An to discover the ancient city of Hoi An, a mixture of old Chinese architecture, Japanese and Vietnamese, which was a port of international trade, the most busiest commercial port in Asia until the eighteenth century, visit its ancient houses and old Chinese temples. Day 07: Hoi An - Da Nang - Nha Trang (B-L-D)
Back to DaNang toVisit marble mountain (marble work), beautiful Cham Museum in Danang. Transfer to Da nang station to boarding of air-conditioned sleeper train to Nha Trang. Dinner on board. Transfer city of Nha Trang. Overnight in 3 star hotel in Nha Trang 
Day 08: Nha Trang (B-L-D)
Transfer to visit aquarium on Tri Nguyen, take boat trip to visit Island Mieu and then HonTam (island of silkworms) and relaxation with the possibility of swimming. Back in town for lunch. PM visit to Cham Ponagar tower and Long Son Pagoda. Dinner and overnight in Hotel
Day 09: Nha Trang - Da Lat (B-L-D)
Road to Da Lat through lush vegetation. En route, visit Yang bay water. Visit church Coho of the Rooster, the old rail way station Trai Mat, the botanical gardens of Da Lat. Walk around the Xuan Huong Lake. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 10: Da Lat - Saigon (B-L/-)
Visit the local market, Tuyen Lam Lake, and a pretty pagoda on Lake Truc Lam and road through rubber plantations, coffee and typical town of Bao Loc. Lunch at restaurant in Bao Loc. Continuous road to Ho Chi Minh formally called "Saigon". Dinner and overnight in 3***hotel in Saigon.
Day 11: Saigon (B-L/-)
Visit the Chinatown: Binh Tay market, Thien Hau Temple, the Jade Emperor Pagoda. Lunch in town. Discover the city with the central post office to architecture metal (late 19th century) style Eiffel, Notre Dame Church (building of red brick neo-Romanesque), the Reunification Palace, the old colonial workshop Craft lacquer. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 12: Saigon - Departure (B)

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - Can Tho (B/L/_) 
After breakfast, transfer to Cai Be. Take a boat for the cruise on the Upper Mekong River and visit a floating market, boat building and orchid islet. Pick up in Vinh Long in the Mekong Delta. Lunch. Transfer to Can Tho. Dinner on guest account. Overnight at 3 star hotel in Can Tho.
Day 11: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/_) 
After breakfast, take a three-hour boat trip to visit the the Cai Rang and Phong Dien Floating Market which are the most original ones in the area. Visit rice noodles workshop. Lunch. Transfer to Cao Lanh by bus. Take a one hour boat trip to see the Xeo Quit base in the Rung Tram Forest. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner on guest account. Overnight at 3***hotel in Saigon.
Day 12: Hochiminh city (B/L/_) 
After breakfast. Driving west to Tay Ninh, head quarter of Cao Dai region. On arrival we attend the fantastic mid-day temple service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. On the way back a stop for a visit Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnels network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation, etc. and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. Driving back to Ho Chi Minh. Dinner on guest account. Overnight at 3***hotel in Saigon.
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City - Vientiane (B/-/D)
Free for last minutes shopping until our driver and tour guide transfer group to Tan Son Nhat Airport for departure to Vientien - Republic of Laos. You are met and transferred to our centrally located hotel. After a short rest, we start to visit the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop tot ake some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is wellknown as Vientiane 's own Arc de Triumph, sunset by the Mekong Riverside. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 14: Vientiane - Xieng khuang (B/ L)
 We board a short afternoon flight to Xieng khouang, which was devastated by American bombing between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival, we transfer out to visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are littered all over the plateau. Sightseeing the old capital of Muang Khoun Province and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people. They have an interesting local culture and a colorful history. Overnight in Phonsavanh (the capital town of Xieng khuang).
Day 15: Xieng khuang - Luang Prabang by road (B/ L) 
Visit Central Market of Phonsavanh to watch different Hill Tribes to barter and exchange merchandises. Transfer to Luang Prabang, on the way, we drop off and see a site more than 200 years old Buddha images in Thampra and varied Hmong and varied hill tribe minority villages along the road. After a photo stop, continue on up hill, enjoying mountain splendid natural scenery, forest and landscape. After a tea or coffee break at Sala Phoukhoun, where the T-junction of bordering meets Vientiane - Xiengkhouang - Luang Prabang. Passing over mountainous region to Luang Prabang. With its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After checking into hotel, [if time permits] we start seeing the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Explore Street Night Bazaar, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight at Luang Prabang.
Day 16: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Cave (B/ L)
We enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 17: Luang Prabang - Departure (B)  
Visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign, and the Central Market are not to be missed. We visit these sights in the morning before catching a flight departs this small, charming city of former royal capital. Transfer to Luang Prabang airport to departure back home.

Trek down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Dzay tribes. Have a picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village, which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area. Return to Sapa. Day 4 : Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi ( B/L/D )
Breakfast at the hotel. We start the trip heading up to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Zdao tribe where you will have lunch. After lunch you check out and leave your luggage in the hotel then get yourself ready before heading down to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages of Black H'Mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and beautiful scenery along the way. Dinner at local restaurant. Transfer to Lao Cai for overnight train back to Ha noi. Overnight on train.
Day 5 : Ha Noi - Ha long ( B/L/D )
Arrive Hanoi around 5 : 00 am in the morning. Pick up at the station Depart for Ha Long through the Red River Delta. Transfer to Junk Cruise at arrival and enjoy a welcome drink and lunch of local seafood. Then begin a 4 hour cruise of the bay to see the amazing limestone karts with different real-world formations like: Lion, Tea Pot, Toad, Human Head islets, and then visit Sung Sot (the Amazing cave). There is a stopover for a walk through this "Amazing Cave". There is a time for swimming and sunbathing (if sunny ), as the Junk anchors for a night in the Bay. Enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner in the beautiful restaurant before retiring for the night to your Cruise cabin.
Day 6 : Halong - Hanoi ( B/L/- )
Early risers can enjoy an energizing swim in the cool, calm, quiet of the overnight anchorage. A Buffet brunch is served from 07:30 to 09:30. Cruise continues to pass more interesting formations such as Titop and Soi Sim Beaches, Finger islet, Swan islet and Ga Choi (Fighting Cocks) islet on the return to Halong City. Then disembark at Halong Tourist Boats station to return Hanoi on the way back, stop over at Hai Duong for refreshment. arrival in Hanoi, after your dinner. Enjoy Water puppet show in the evening. Day 7 : Hanoi- Hue ( B/L/- )

Afternoon, visit Dong Ba market, the Imperial Citadel from where 13 Nguyen Dynasties ruled between 1802 and 1945, the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City. Lunch & dinner at local restaurant. Day 8 : Hue ( B/L/D )
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a morning cruise on the Perfume River to visit royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, Thien Mu pagoda and mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, in a setting of gardens and lakes. Day 9 : Hue - Danang- Hoi An ( B/L/-)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning drive on to Hoi An (about 4 hours). Drive along Lang Co beach and through Hai Van Pass to Da Nang city. Hoi An was originally a busy seaport influenced down centuries by traders from various cultures. on the way stop at the Marble Mountains. The charm of Hoi An makes it one of the most delightful places to visit in Vietnam. Lunch & dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at 3*** Hotel in Hoi An.  
Day 10 : Hoi An (B/L/D)
Depart for My Son to visit the Cham Holy Land - the World Heritage. Afterward stroll around the town, visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congressional Hall, the silk street of Hoi An, temples and pagodas of Chinese appearance. Day 11 : Hoi An - Danang - Saigon ( B/L/D )
Transfer to Da nang airport for boarding to Ho Chi Minh City . Pick up and transfer to hotel. A sightseeing tour to the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame cathedral, the Old Central Post Office. Tour of China town and Thien Hau & Quan Am pagodas. Day 12 : Saigon - My Tho - Ben Tre - Can Tho (B/L/D)
Depart for My tho. Take the boat ride through the Bao Dinh natural canal, view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river sides. Visit the My Tho wholesale fruit market. Proceed to the Tortoise island. Lunch served in the heart of the orchard garden. Enjoy the nice boat ride through the Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruise under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit the family where you can experience the agricultural lifestyle of inhabitants in Mekong Delta. Enjoy the rowing boat ride along the creeks before returning to My Tho by motorized boat. Day 13 : Phong Dien - Cai Rang – Saigon (B/L/-)
Take the morning boat trip to visit the Phong Dien floating market with the busy sence right at the time. Keep cruising through the small canals system, visit the rice noodles making village. Experience the " monkey Bridge " in the Delta. Visit the second floating market of Cai Rang. Break time for lunch. Return to Hochiminh city via Vinh Long to visit the local snake market. Day 14 : Saigon - Phnom Penh Cambodia ( B/L/D )

Day 15: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to express boat station to move to Siem Reap. Arrival in Siemreap, visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of the Leper King, the ruined temple has intentionally been left untouched to have imagination of how Angkor had appeared upon its very first recovered by the archeologists. Day 01: Hanoi (D) Pick up at Noi Bai International airport by driver and Tour Guide transfer to Hanoi downtown to visit the former palace of Governor, one Pillar Pagoda Unique form of lotus blossom, Tran Quoc Pagoda by West lake. Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucianism and used to be the first University of Vietnam, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple . Cyclo-ride 36 old districts of Hanoi old quarter, the heart of old Hanoi with narrow streets lined with shops. Dinner at the restaurant. Overnight in 3*** hotel in Hanoi.
Day 02: Hanoi - Hoalu ( B-L/-)
After breakfast at hotel. Departure for Ninh Binh to visit Hoa Lu and Tam Coc an other Halong Bay in land. Take flat-bottomed boat through the peaceful landscape prints of Van Long: canals and rice fields bordered by high cliffs sculptural. afternoon boat trip around the lake village of Kenh Ga entering the colorful scenes of life in a traditional peasant site remained very authentic. Back to Hoa Lu , overnight in Hotel Ninh Binh.
Day 03: Hoa Lu - Halong ( B-L-D)
Breakfast at hotel, check out and departure by road to Ha Long. Boarding a cruise junk through the extraordinary landscapes of the Bay on emerald waters which flow over 3000 islands limestone peaks and fantastic shapes and awarded as World Natural heritage since 1994. Lunch served with seafood on board. Afternoon continue your cruise to visit various shapes islands in the Ha Long Bay area, if sunny, there will be a chance for a swim at the fresh water area. 15h30' back to shore to have dinner in Restaurant in town and overnight in 3 *** Hotel in Halong.
Day 04: Halong - But Thap - Hanoi ( B-L/-)
The morning route to Hanoi, visit But Thap pagoda - beautiful architecture of XVII century. Lunch at Cha Ca restaurant known for its specialty of grilled fish. In the afternoon continue to visit of superb museum of ethnography to discover the diverse cultures of Vietnam. In the evening enjoy Water puppet show. Dinner at the restaurant. 3*** hotel in Hanoi.
Day 05: Hanoi - Hue ( B-L-D)
Transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Hue. Pick up at Phu Bai local airport by driver and guide, transfer to Hue city for lunch. Afternoon visit to the Imperial City of the dynasty Nguyen with midday Gate, the Palace of Supreme Harmony, the temple of Nguyen, then visit Thien Mu Pagoda, known as the Lady Celeste, with its octagonal tower overlooking the river. Boat ride on the Perfume River to enjoy Hue at sunset. Dinner and overnight in 3***hotel in Hue.
Day 06: Hue - Hoi An ( B-L/-)
Continue to visit Hue with the mausoleum of Tu Duc, beautifully landscaped with historical story of the King during the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802-1945. Departure by road to Hoi An between China Sea and foothills of the Cordillera Anamese stop at the pass of the Clouds and fishing village of Lang Co. Lunch, continue drive to Hoi An, Hoi an tour by bicycle rides through the streets until the small fishing port. Boat trip to see the fish men to lift their fishnet to earn a living. Diner in restaurant. Overnight in 3*** Hotel in Hoi An.
Day 07: Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh ( B-L/-)
Morning After breakfast at hotel, Start to discover Hoi An, formerly was the busy seaport in the 16th century. This very active counter with 18th-19th centuries, classified as World Heritage Site by Unesco, is a perfect example of classical architecture with his Vietnamese covered bridge, its old houses, temples congregations of Quang Dong and Fukien and colorful market stalls. Transfer to Da Nang for Lunch. Continue to Da Nang airport to take local flight to Ho Chi Minh. Dinner and overnight at 3***hotel in Saigonl.
Day 08: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh ( B-L/-)
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Road excursion to the lush Mekong Delta. Boat trip in a small boat and then through the arm of the river, its canals, villages, farms and orchids, Ben Tre up for a tasting of local products, tropical fruits and tea with honey. Lunch at local restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh. Dinner and overnight in 3***hotel in Saigon.
Day 09: Ho Chi Minh City tour( B-L/-)
Morning, breakfast at hotel, following with an orientation tour through the colonial city: the Cathedral, the Post and the former Catinat Street . Then explore the China Town of Cholon lively and colorful: Binh Tay market, Thien Hau Pagoda (Heavenly Lady), the Reunification Palace (former Norodom Palace), the manufacture of lacquer, the Ben Thanh market. Lunch and dinner at a restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh Home (B)
After buffet breakfast at hotel. Free at your leisure or last minute shopping at downtown before transfer to airport for flight home. End of the tour.
